IMG_0417.jpgIf you like, we can provide you with the name, number, and email of a cab service that will arrange your pick-up at the airport and take you to the apartment (about 30 minutes) for far cheaper than the street taxis, and much faster and easier than the buses. However you choose to get to the apartment, you will be met by Potosi Living 10.JPGour bilingual rental manager who will give you the keys, acquaint you with the apartment, and sign the rental agreement and settle any outstanding deposits or payments with you. You are then free to sleep, acquaint yourself with the neighborhood and buy food and water, surf the web or check email, and generally make yourself at home. As most US flights arrive in the morning in BsAs, you will have the day to relax and plan your evening out. You may consider asking the cab owner by email to bring you the latest El Tangauta, or another local tango-zine, to find out the latest tango happenings in the city. We found them very useful to help us plan our milonga schedule. (If your Spanish is limited or non-existent, you can use a free web-based translator to help you contact people in BsAs. We have used http://www.freetranslation.com/ with acceptable results, and there are many others that you can web search.)

If you stay for several weeks, you will need to arrange to do your own laundry and cleaning. There are laundry places, “Lavaderos”, where you leave your laundry, and they return it clean and folded. Some even have delivery. There are at least 3 near the apartment, not more than 100 meters away. They charge roughly $8 pesos for each load.

Rent is US$30 per night, one week minimum, and US$750 per month.  A rental deposit is required to hold dates, the rent can be prepaid in the U.S. by check - to avoid having to travel with excessive cash, or paid in full in cash directly to the apartment manager at check in. Depending on length of stay, the security deposit will range between USD$200 - $400 to be paid in cash at check in which will be returned to you at check out, barring any obvious damage or missing items.

Enjoy the apartment, sign and add your favorite neighborhood laundry, restaurant, grocery, or dancing spot to the guest book, and we welcome your feedback.
